Sloemotion have confirmed that they will be joining us at Summerhill on the Saturday of Easter weekend.  This means that everyone will be able to try their fabulous sloe drinks – as well as the traditional Sloe Gin, their range includes vodka, brandy and whisky as well as the unmissable Cherry Brandy. 

There will also be the most chocolaty Chocolate Sauce you have ever tasted, beautiful Ceylonese teas, spice mixes and rubs and rapeseed oils and products.

Put the date in your diary now so you don’t miss it – Saturday 7th April between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm.

Alison and Mel live in Little Paxton with their young families.  They have both always enjoyed baking and shared a dream to make and sell their biscuits and cakes for other to enjoy as well!  They joined forces and Cake Fairies were born!  They believe homemade is best and make and bake everything themselves.  Ingredients are carefully selected, locally where possible, including free range eggs from Alison’s parents’ local farm – no hydrogenated fats or preservatives are used.  Their soft vanilla biscuits, like everything else, are made by hand and decorated with sugar paste – as well as the farm themed biscuits there are delightful dresses, hand bags, rockets, dinosaurs, teapots and many many more.  We are delighted to now be stocking these at Summerhill Farm Shop and are looking forward to expanding the range to include Cake Fairies’ tray bakes and cakes!

Come and try them for yourself in the farm shop between 12.00 noon and 3.00 pm on Saturday 3rd March.  With eight varieties to choose from including Kashmiri, Bhuna, Jalfrezi and Vindaloo, there will be one to suit everyone.

There will of course be other tastings on offer in the butchery and in the deli.  See you Saturday!
